The Assessment dashboard exists within each assessment listed in the Well-Architected Reviews page. Select a review you created to view a detailed analysis of the workload in the Assessments page, which provides the following categories of information in the Overview tab:
Review Highlights -
Provides a quick, high-level summary of assessment results, categorizing issues by severity (critical, high, medium, low) across key pillars like security and operational excellence. It helps identify where the most critical risks lie, enabling teams to prioritize remediation efforts based on impact and urgency.
Findings - During the review, each check is categorized as Passed, Failed, or Error. Passed checks indicate compliance with best practices, while Failed checks highlight areas that do not meet the required standards and need remediation. Error results occur when the system cannot determine compliance due to issues like misconfigurations or access limitations, leaving the check inconclusive.
Lens Highlights -
The AWS Well-Architected Review uses lenses to evaluate workloads based on specific best practices. The default lens is the AWS Well-Architected Framework, which assesses workloads across all six pillars: Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability. Additional lenses, such as the GenAI Lens, are available for specialized workloads such as AI/ML. When multiple lenses are applied, each is presented with its own tailored set of questions and evaluation criteria.
Actions - Provides the following two options:
Review - Revise the issues found during a review, such as remediating problems or suppressing intentional findings.
Re-scan Findings: Re-scan if you wish to update risk reporting, identify false positive, fix gaps, or validate the remediation findings.
