The Insights tab displays a summary of findings categorized by risk level—critical, high, medium, and low—across each well-architected pillar such as Security, Operational Excellence, Performance, Sustainability, Reliability, and Cost Optimization. It highlights the number of issues in each risk category for every pillar, making it easy to see which areas have the most critical or high-risk issues. For example, it may show that security and operational excellence have the highest number of critical issues, while other pillars have none. This tab helps users quickly assess where the most urgent attention is needed and supports efficient prioritization of remediation actions.
The Insights tab displays information categories to help analyze the breakdown of the review in a schematic format. View a particular lens, all available lenses and for a specific resource type.
Total Findings Breakdown - Displays the total number of issues found in the account, the number of issues that passed, and the number of failed findings. For example, in one scan, there were about 5,000 issues found, 3 passed, and 1,979 failed findings. The breakdown allows a deep dig analysis into specific pillars (like security) to see the distribution of issues by risk level and type.
Total Failed Findings by Pillar - Displays the count of failed findings across each pillar such as Security, Operational Excellence, Performance, Sustainability, Reliability, and Cost Optimization. Security and Operational Excellence typically have the highest number of critical failed findings, while other pillars may have fewer or none. Filters out the failed findings per pillar to identify which areas require the most remediation.
Failed Findings by Resource Type -
Displays a tabular list to quickly scan and identify failed findings by resource type. Filter for specific resource types, such as S3 buckets, where issues marked as Lack of encryption or Public Access are highlighted. Analyse Resource types such as S3 buckets that have failed specific checks and how many resources are affected, enabling targeted remediation.
Top 5 Failed Violating Resources - Displays the top resources that failed automated checks during a Well-Architected review, such as S3 buckets that are public or not encrypted.
Top 5 Violating Checks - Displays the automated best practice checks that have failed during the well-architected review process. For examples it could be an S3 buckets allowing public access, lack of encryption at rest, or inadequate enforcement of least privilege access.
